Stairwell Entrance Door Replacement in Selfoss

Removal of an old door and installation of a new, fire-rated entrance door in a multi-family building.

A small, quick job – the door installation itself took about 2–3 hours.

Condition Before

The old door needed to be replaced with one that meets fire-safety requirements for apartment doors opening onto a shared stairwell.

Scope of Work

The project involved removing the old door and fitting a new fire-rated door, which the customer had sourced himself, complete with handle and lock.

Execution

We took out the old door and fitted the new one, sorting out the hinges, lock and handle. We also poured a small amount of screed under the threshold, let it dry, and then set the threshold in place.

Result

The door is now in full use and works exactly as it should – hinges, lock and handle all properly adjusted. This project shows that we take on both small and large jobs, and respond quickly whenever needed.
