Deck and Fence at Vallaskóli for the Municipality of Árborg

Renewal of the deck and fence at the after-school care area (frístund) of Vallaskóli in Selfoss, for the Municipality of Árborg.

The old deck was in poor condition and too small.

Scope of Work

We decided to enlarge the deck and build it from scratch. The work was carried out in cooperation with 800 Smíði, a company we work with regularly on various projects.

Execution

The old, worn-out deck was removed and a new, larger deck was built in its place on solid footings set in concrete. High-quality pressure-treated timber and stainless screws were used to ensure durability and safety. A sturdy fence was built around the deck, marking off the area and increasing safety for the children who play there.

Since this is a project for the municipality and an area children use every day, we placed special emphasis on careful and safe workmanship – every detail was finished with precision so the result would be both attractive and sturdy.

Result
