Fascia and gutter repair after a customer reported damaged fascia boards on his house.

Location

Selfoss.

Condition Before

The fascia and soffit boards under the roof overhang, which extends about 50–60 cm beyond the building line, were badly rotted along a long stretch, and the gutters were clogged, poorly aligned, and not draining water in the right direction.

Execution

We removed the old, rotten fascia boards and carefully inspected the rafters, reinforcing them wherever needed so the new fascia would have a solid base. We then installed new gutters, setting the correct slope so rainwater now flows freely instead of pooling and damaging the wood. Finally, we fitted new roof flashing to close off the whole structure neatly and weatherproof it.

The customer was so pleased with the finished section that he asked us to redo the fascia and gutters on the entire house – as he put it himself, one side of the house couldn’t look great while the rest looked bad.
